Scooby

Scooby? Yes, I Doo! I’m so loveable, I should get my own cartoon, too!
Birth June 2012
Sex Female
Adoption August 2025

H it by a car, and having suffered irreparable damage, Scooby underwent surgery to have her front leg amputated. After making a speedy recovery, this unlucky girl became incredibly lucky and quickly found herself an adoptive parent, who promised to take good care of her and her new best friend, Labka, who is also handicapped. Sadly, their owners’ health took a turn for the worse some years later, and she found she could no longer care for them both. Brought back to our sanctuary, Scooby and Labka have remained with us ever since.

Scooby is currently being sponsored but would fit in well to a home with plenty of outside space, provided she could always be with her best friend, Labka; the two come as an adorable, loyal package.

Toward the end of July 2025, Scooby started to be a selective eater, and her blood test showed elevated kidney values. Considering her age, we chose to avoid aggressive treatment and focus on keeping her comfortable with her favorite treats and kidney supplements. On August 2nd, she crossed the rainbow bridge. We are grateful to have shared several joyful years with her at the Sanctuary. A noble and loving soul, Scooby will stay in our hearts forever.
