Saanvi

My caretakers may have abandoned me, but I found humans who welcomed me with open arms, and the food’s not bad here either!
Birth May 2016
Sex Female
Death May 20206

A gentle soul with wise, amber eyes and a temperament shaped by resilience, Saanvi came to us with a large tumor that was slowly draining the life out of her. While surgery relieved her of her potentially deadly (and rather heavy!) burden, sadly, her recovery journey wasn’t quite so straightforward.

Having entrusted her to the care of humans in her community, we hoped she could heal in peace and safety. Instead, she was simply dumped back outside our gates. Without knowledge of her exact locality or the community she once called her own, it wouldn’t have been safe to release her; therefore, she became an unexpected but utterly welcome long-term guest.

Saanvi’s energy has become more restful than rambunctious as she ages, and she can often be found slumbering peacefully in the quiet corner she has made her own at our sanctuary. Finally, this sweet lady has found peace; all she needs now is a special human to help support her needs as she enters retirement, and she will be able to say that life is pretty perfect.

As age caught up, Saanvi became slower and enjoyed longer naps. During the last week of May 2026, she started to show reduced appetite, and blood tests showed elevated kidney values. She underwent fluid therapy for a couple of days but passed away on the 27th. She will always be remembered for her quiet strength and gentle ways. Rest in peace, Saanvi!
