R escued by kind community carers who found her lying injured and in agony on the street, Kandhari sadly lost her front paw in the accident, but it hasn’t done anything to hold her back, and she remains one of our speediest, most active residents! If you visit our sanctuary, this amazing lady will be one of the first dogs to greet you, and her enthusiasm for life is infectious.
As age caught up with her, Kantari developed elevated renal values and small blood-filled tumors that began appearing at different spots on her body. But these didn't dampen her spirits, and we kept her comfortable with renal diets and supplements. On Dec 17, 2025, she looked quite dull, and to spare her further suffering, we let her go peacefully. As one of our longest residents at the Sanctuary, she left us with many fond memories.
