C harlie was a tiny tot when he was first brought to us in a critical condition. He had been hit by a vehicle and left for dead. Requiring around the clock care, our team nurtured him and gave him daily physiotherapy to try and help him rebuild his strength. With injuries to his spine, Charlie has now grown up but is still unable to use his hind legs fully, although he can gallop with the help of a physio sling!
On September 12, 2026, Charlie appeared lethargic and was experiencing breathing distress. Although his blood work did not detect any serious abnormality, his condition did not improve. Despite the best care we could give, Charlie passed away the next day, surrounded by his friends. He will always be remembered for his resilience and grit. Run free, Charlie!
